Most people do not call asking for pipe lining. They call because the toilet backed up again, the tub has sewage in it, the washing machine overflowed, or the yard has a soft wet spot that should not be there.
That is where we start. Bizzy Bee Plumbing checks the sewer line first, shows what is actually happening, then talks through sewer repair, pipe lining, spot repair, hydro jetting, or digging if that is the honest answer.
One slow sink is not the same as a main sewer backup. A toilet that gurgles when the washer drains means something different than a kitchen line packed with grease.
We look at the pattern before we recommend the repair. If the line needs a camera, we camera it. If it needs cleaning before we can see anything, we clean it. If pipe lining makes sense, we explain why. If it does not, we say that too.
Pipe lining, also called CIPP lining, can create a new inside wall inside the old sewer pipe. It can be a good option when the pipe has roots, cracks, rough cast iron, leaking joints, or a damaged section that still has enough structure to hold a liner.
It is not magic. If the sewer is collapsed, badly bellied, missing sections, or too far out of alignment, lining may not be the right repair.
Durham sewer repair can mean a lot of different things. We do not want every customer forced into the same answer.
Trinity Park, Duke Park, Forest Hills, Watts-Hillandale, Old West Durham, Lakewood, and parts of downtown can have older sewer materials, big trees, tight access, and old repairs that do not show up until the camera is in the line.
Southpoint, Woodcroft, Hope Valley, RTP, and newer areas can still have sewer problems too, but the cause may be different: settlement, poor pitch, construction debris, heavy use, or commercial buildup.
That is why the address matters, but the camera matters more.
A good sewer repair starts with seeing the pipe. If lining is right, we will explain the footage, footage length, access points, cleaning needed, and why it qualifies. If excavation or another repair is safer, we will tell you that.
